and how do I value its source?

by the its total composition

And a shopper values gold
by its shape and form

Do I see gold’s reflected glitter
or the real light that illumines it?

When gold doesn’t glisten
does it lose its worth?

The shopper values gold’s significance
only when it is used for jewelry

Whereas a goldsmith puts his weight
on the merit of its foundation

A goldsmith is grounded in gold’s establishment
while the shopper floats on passing clouds

What do I see in others
and what do I see in me?

Do I see all as The Gold
or do I see them as jewelry?
