I gained new and I lost old
I found you and I drifted from me

I discovered truth
and buried pretentious

I saw the genuine
and I screened off false

I experienced kindness
and let go off harsh

I felt the gracious you
and released the uncouth me

I received the giving you
and I shipped away greed

I saw eyes gleaming with care
and I smiled with delight

I observed your beauty
and I stopped seeing ugly

I learnt to be abundant
and not to be slight

I saw you were big
now I don’t think small

I found pleasing
and I lost what was not
