Three Hungry Stomachs
Three hungry stomachs drive
us
And we strive to fill these
bellies
One is the hunger for
knowledge.
As we learn new things everyday,
this food for thought illumines us
and lights up paths so we can see
and exercise freedom of thoughts
that will guide us to our goals.
The second is the appetite
to be known
So others can recognize our
actions
It’s a never ending
voracious competition
Of feeding off approvals and
endorsements
A bondage of dependent perceptions, and
an addiction to collect irrelevant trophies.
Then is the hunger to remain
unknown
Although we want to know
others
We don't create new
knowledge
As we are riddled with fear of
acting,
Content with acts imposed
upon us
And codependent on wisdom of others
